M-Cube is a finalist in three categories at the AV Awards 2026, one of the most closely watched award programmes in the audiovisual industry. AV Magazine published the shortlist in August 2026, recognising outstanding projects, technologies, businesses and people across the sector. For M-Cube, the recognition spans two distinct projects and one company-wide category. Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3 is shortlisted for Public Sector Project of the Year. DAG: The Longest Immersive Digital Art Gallery in the World is shortlisted for Themed Entertainment and Attractions Project of the Year. M-Cube itself is shortlisted for Integrator of the Year. Winners will be announced on 6 November 2026 at Evolution London.
Each nomination reflects a different part of the business. Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3 represents public sector digital signage delivered at continental scale, inside one of Europe’s largest airport developments. DAG: The Longest Immersive Digital Art Gallery in the World sits at the opposite end of the spectrum: heritage, culture and civic regeneration delivered through LED technology rather than advertising. Integrator of the Year is not tied to a single site at all. It recognises the platform, the technical teams and the delivery model that make projects of this scale possible in multiple countries at the same time. Together, the three categories cover public infrastructure, culture and the digital signage capability that connects them.
Frankfurt Airport opened Terminal 3 in April 2026, after more than a decade of construction and an investment of around four billion euros. Media Frankfurt, the airport’s long-term marketing partner, built a network of around 230 advertising assets across roughly 2,500 square metres of media space, one of the most advanced airport digital signage ecosystems in Germany. Within that network, M-Cube designed and delivered the LED walls installed in the terminal’s check-in area. Each wall measures 21 by 5.75 metres, at a resolution of 5,376 by 1,472 pixels, managed through a Novastar H2 controller and two separate 4K inputs. M-Cube’s creative team also produced dedicated 3D anamorphic content for the installation, supported by AI-assisted production workflows.
The second project nomination centres on Galleria Bombi, a historic tunnel in Gorizia transformed into a 100-metre LED gallery. M-Cube delivered the installation through its LED-specialist division, Videomobile, together with Electron Italia. The gallery covers 925 square metres of curved LED surface, with a 2.5-millimetre pixel pitch and a resolution of 40,000 by 3,700 pixels that follows the vault of the tunnel from end to end. It opened in December 2025 as part of the European Capital of Culture programme shared by Gorizia and Nova Gorica. Explore the full Galleria Bombi project for the complete story.
The Integrator of the Year category looks at the business behind the projects rather than any single site. M-Cube has worked in digital signage for 25 years and currently operates from eleven European offices, serving more than 500 brands across over 130 countries and managing over 100,000 digital touchpoints. A nomination here sits alongside the two project nominations rather than replacing them: it recognises the delivery model, the technical teams and the proprietary platform that make projects on the scale of Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3 or Galleria Bombi possible across several markets at once.
Winners of the AV Awards 2026 will be announced on 6 November at Evolution London. Regardless of the outcome, the shortlist places M-Cube’s work alongside integrators, projects and technologies from across the wider AV and digital signage industry, and marks the first time a public-space project, a cultural project and the company itself have all featured in the same award cycle.
